They had nothing but their surfboards, a suitcase and the goal to be the first sisters to qualify on the World Championship Tour.
Eliza and Mikaela started surfing competitively at age 8 and 11 respectively. Throughout their junior career, Eliza and Mikaela have won consecutive Western Australian State Titles for each division. They placed in the top 5 in the Australian National Junior Surfing Championships consecutively and Mikaela also won a National Title at 15 in the U/19 AllStars Team event.
Mikaela has won two WQS International surfing competitions this year, placing her in top 25 in the world on the WQS rankings.
Eliza was filmed in a documentary called “The Wild Card” that featured professional surfers Layne Beachley and Sally Fitzgibbons. It aired Australia wide on MySurf.TV.
Mikaela has experience in films as a surfing stunt double for the lead female roles. Mikaela’s surfing stunt double roles include Drift (released 2013) – where she is a surfing stunt double for the lead female, Lesley Anne Brandt – and the movie Kill Me Three Times (released 2015) where she doubled for the lead female for Alicia Braga.

Itinerary & Schedule
Launched in late ’99, The Naga Laut has been continually upgraded by the owner to ensure a comfortable and unique experience. Naga Laut has been designed exclusively for upmarket surf charters in the Mentawai Islands. The interior has been beautifully finished in polished local timbers. A spacious living area onboard provides all the amenities of home including full air conditioning, a new satellite phone, TV, DVD, VCD, WIFI, fridge, freezer, fishing and snorkeling gear. Naga Laut has 4 comfortable two-bed cabins, and 1 big four-bed cabin, all with multiple power sockets to keep your laptops, phones and cameras charged, safe, and out of the way. On special request, Naga Laut can hold up to 14 surfers but sails most comfortably with 8 to 10. Two tenders, an aluminum speedboat with a Yamaha 85 hp, and a smaller zodiac with a 15hp, are always on standby to quickly get you to the waves, do shore excursions or go fishing.
The people who run Naga Laut are also surfers and as such understand the level of appetite that develops after 3 or more hours of surfing. You will find the dishes served at main meals nutritious, varied and filling. We also make sure there is plenty of fruit available along with snacks such as biscuits and nuts. Some guests like to bring their own special snacks such as energy bars and protein drinks.
